Belinda is a commercial litigation and dispute resolution lawyer with 9 years’ experience in a variety of contract, trust, insolvency, property, insurance and trade practice disputes as well as litigation arising out of the Corporations Act.

Belinda has acted for a wide range of clients including banks and private lenders, insolvency practitioners, property developers, insurers, local governments and high net worth individuals and families.

Belinda also spent two years working at ASX Limited, which gave her intricate knowledge of the ASX Listing Rules, a commercial understanding of WA’s mining exploration and production industry and a clear perspective on the commercial pressures facing clients in a dispute situation.

She has also taught civil procedure and professional practice to post-graduate law students at the University of Western Australia.

Recent work

Belinda’s most recent work includes:

  • regulatory management of ASX-listed companies;
  • acting for a property developer in the Supreme Court of Western Australia to free its land from improper encumbrances ahead of sale;
  • acting for an insurer in relation to detained property and towing charges;
  • acting for trustees of aboriginal and family trusts in relation to governance disputes, trustees’ duties and the administration of trust funds;
  • appearing as counsel in local government prosecution trials; and
  • appearing as counsel in the Supreme Court of Western Australia for a trustee in the investigation into misappropriated trust assets.
